Labor is proud to represent residents across all five Inner West Council wards. Over the last term of Council, Labor has delivered for locals on Leichhardt Oval, vibrant main streets, funding for parks & open spaces, better waste management, parking, potholes, traffic, and everything in between.

Saving Leichhardt Oval

For years, Inner West Labor fought hard to save Leichhardt Oval. This June, a $40 million joint funding agreement between the Inner West Council, the State Government and the Federal Government was announced. This investment will provide essential upgrades to the ground's infrastructure, ensuring that it continues to grow as a hub for women's sports and that West Tigers can continue to play at the eighth wonder of the world for years to come.

Local Matters

Understanding the local issues that matter to Inner Westies, from affordable homes to libraries and learning.

The Voice to Parliament

In the lead up to last year's Voice to Parliament referendum, Labor proposed and supported the Inner West Council's training of 1000 local citizens in a civic education program aimed at building awareness around the Uluru Statement from the Heart and the referendum itself. Inner West Labor members were also on the streets through rain, hail, and shine talking to locals about an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament and why we believed it was the right thing to do.
